1. Creating Site screenshot

A "screenshot" is a snapshot of what's on your computer's screen.To create a screenshot using MS Paint follow these steps:

a. Open the web page in the web brouser. On Windows, press the Print Screen or Prnt Scrn key on your keyboard, found at the upper right of the keyboard.

To capture only the active window, press Alt + Print Screen

b. Open MS-Paint. (From Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint)
Create a new empty image File/New), and use Edit/Paste to bring in the screenshot you just took.

c. Use MS-Paint to Save As, using JPG format.

2. Using Flash Editor

Using decorateyoursite couldn’t be easier.

Select one of the library headings (such as Christmas Teee) on the right hand side and click on it. This will then open up and show you the graphics within this section.

Click on any graphic you like and drag and drop onto where your homepage is displayed – you will see it now has a “dashed” box around it – this means it is ready to edit and customise.Repeat this as many times as you like with as many different graphics as you want!

To customize object's color, size, postion, etc. click on object and use the toolbar on the top.

Colour Editing button.
Use this button to change the colours of any graphic you have selected.
While the graphic has the highlight box around it, click this button and small window will open allowing you to change every colour in the graphic.

Colour Presets button.
If you have changed any colours using the Colour Editing button and wish to go back to the original make sure the graphic has the dashed box around it and use this option.

Text Editing button
This button only works with the Messages option. Once you have dragged the message over to your site clicking on this button lets you change the message text. Then just use the Colour Editing button to change size and colour too.

Send To Back button
Bring To Front button
These buttons allow you to decide which graphic is in front of or behind another if you have 2 or more graphics that overlap. For example if you have a Santa graphic and a Xmas Tree graphic overlapping with Santa behind the tree you may want to bring him in front of the tree. To do this you can either highlight the tree and use the Send To Back option or highlight Santa and use the Bring To Front feature.

Scale button
This feature allows you to resize any image or message. Just click on to one of the corner arrows and drag the graphic out to the desired size.

Rotate button
Select this button if you want to rotate any graphic or message. Just click on to one of the corner arrows and drag the graphic round to the desired angle.

Flip button
Using this on any highlighted box will turn the graphic back to front for use in symmetrical designs.

Lock button
This button lets you lock any graphic in place once you have got it just as you want it. By locking a graphic you can’t accidentally move it.

Unlock button
If you need to edit a locked graphic, just make sure it is highlighted and use this button to unlock it. It is now free to be moved or edited as needed.

Duplicate button
Use this button on any highlighted graphic to immediately generate a clone the exactly the same to drag to another part of your site. This will save a lot of formatting time for you.

Delete button
This will delete any highlighted graphic by just clicking the button.

You can double click on any dragged and placed icon at any time to open a menu of applicable functions.

4. Positioning decorations on your site

In this step you determine the placement of your decorations on your web site.

Firstly select your site's alignment. Is it formatted to the left of the screen, the right of the screen or centred? Site alignment let's you fine tune how your decorations will sit on your web page.

The position of the web page in the browser is independent of the browser screen width.

Next, if needed, use the up, down, left arrows to nudge your decorations to the exact place you wantand right to set the right place. You can change the size of a nudge by using the Offset drop down options.

Once you've done the positioning click the Next Step button.

5. Installation on the site

To install the decoration on to your web site just do the following:

Copy the html code from the text area on the left side.

Open the html page in any editor (i.e. in Notepad and insert the code after the <body> tag.

Then save and upload to the server. All done!
